Project MKUltra, also known as MK-Ultra, was a clandestine program conducted by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) which employed a wide range of tactics to manipulate the mental and neurological states of its subjects. These methods included administering psychoactive substances, notably LSD, and various other chemicals to individuals without their informed consent. Additionally, the program involved electroshock therapy, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, and various other forms of torture.
